After 35 years in this field, I know one thing for sure: a brilliant strategy is worthless if your people can’t or won’t get on board. And that’s exactly where my passion and expertise lie. My name is Aad, and I help companies achieve their greatest ambitions, with my feet on the ground and my eyes on the horizon.
My domain? I step in when things get truly complex. Think of a major reorganization, a merger where two corporate cultures need to blend, or a new strategy that has to be brought from paper to practice. I’ve had the privilege of doing this for international players like ABInBev, ASML, Johnson & Johnson, HP, Microsoft, Rabobank, Siemens, and Colruyt Group, but I enjoy just as much working with teams on the verge of their next big leap (more about Our services and Client Cases).
My approach is practical. No thick reports full of theory, but concrete steps that help teams get aligned. I’m a firm believer in the power of a good conversation. First, getting alignment in the boardroom, and then translating it together for the rest of the organization. I believe that mastering the essence of people alignment is crucial in today’s business environment. In such a way that a clear sense of focus kicks in, leading to breakthroughs and measurable results. In today’s era of rapid AI advancement, this becomes particularly relevant. While many focus on the technology, the true challenge of AI adoption lies in the human element—managing the cultural shift and ensuring people are willing and able to embrace the new ways of working. Ensuring that technology serves the people, not the other way around.
After graduating from university in Public and Business Administration, I built my entire career around leadership and leading change. As a Director and Practice leader at a Big 4 consultancy before starting our own consulting firm.
My work has taken me all over the world, from Asia to the US. I’ve learned not only to speak the language of the boardroom but also to truly listen to what drives people in different cultures. When I’m not working, I love to be in the kitchen or to travel to meet people and enjoy other cultures. I live with my family in Brussels, a city that’s as international and diverse as my work.
